Exhibition Curation and Development

I can help with all phases of the exhibition development and production, from research, outreach and artwork sourcing, to catalogue essays, editing, installation, and lectures and public programs.

Research

I’ve worked with galleries, artist estates and foundations on many types of research including deep dives into single artworks, background research for the development of an essay, and  larger projects such as collection assessments, re-examinations of an artist’s career, and exhibitions.

Writing

I believe in clear, compelling, and accessible storytelling. I’ve collaborated with clients to create catalogue essays, articles, and reviews that deepen scholarship and cement artists’ legacies.

Collection Management

I’ve worked with artists, artists estates, and foundations to catalogue and organize artwork, oversee conservation and deacesssions, and to create collection databases. As Curator at the Art Students League, I stewarded a collection of over 2000 objects spanning the 19th-Century to the present. This included organizing a complete collection inventory as well as creating the institution’s first collection management policy and first collection committee.

Developmental Editing

I’ve provided Curators and Executive Directors with support developing an essay or manuscript, including research and feedback on preliminary drafts.

Digital Content

I’ve created digital exhibitions and online viewing rooms as well as short-form articles that help transform websites from sources of information to sites of engagement.
