Hollis Taggart

Specialists in post-war and contemporary American art, Hollis Taggart’s mission is to present museum-quality works of art, maintain a program motivated by scholarship, and offer personalized support in all aspects of art collection.  I’ve collaborated with the gallery to produce a variety of exhibitions and catalogues, assisted with the launching of a new contemporary division, and written text for virtual viewing rooms, marketing, and publicity.

Kaish Family Art Project

The primary objective of the Kaish Family Art Project is to promote and exhibit the ongoing work of the Kaish family as well as to preserve, display, advance scholarship, and research the work of Luise and Morton Kaish.  The scope of the work has included cataloguing and collection management,  authoring an illustrated chronology, exhibition history, and bibliography, outreach to scholars and institutions, and assistance with day-to-day management.

The Art Students League

An atelier art school founded by and supporting artists since 1875, The Art Students League has been instrumental in shaping America’s legacy in the fine arts. As Curator from 2013-2018, I invigorated the League’s programming by developing an evening lecture series and building new partnerships for exhibitions. I also oversaw a collection appraisal and assessment and worked with the board of control to establish the organization’s first collection committee. I collaborated closely with the development team to support the League’s growth as an institution engaged in the twenty-first century art scene. I am currently the League’s Curator-at-Large.

The Richard Pousette-Dart Foundation

The Richard Pousette-Dart Foundation is an artist-endowed, private non-operating foundation with 501(c)(3) status. Central to The Foundation’s goals are advancing comprehensive understanding of Richard Pousette-Dart’s contributions as a visual artist; supporting educational programs where art-making is a vehicle for positive personal transformation; and promoting intellectual exchange within the arts. I am working with the Foundation on the development of new content for an expanded, interactive website.
